The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the statements made by French President Emmanuel Macron, emphasizing the need to refrain from exporting weapons to Israel, the occupying power, which are used in the war on the Gaza Strip. Macron also stressed the priority of finding a political solution to the conflict. The OIC considered these statements to be in line with international humanitarian law, the legal advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, and relevant United Nations resolutions.<\/p>

\u00a0The organization also called on France to recognize the State of Palestine based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as part of its supportive stance for the two-state solution and the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.<\/p>

The organization emphasized that the continued military and financial support for Israel, the occupying power, encourages it to persist in committing crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
