The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to Afghanistan meets with Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan

Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural, and Family Affairs and Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to Afghanistan, met with His Excellency Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, on January 11, 2025, at the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
Both parties exchanged views on effective ways to implement the mandate outlined in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's resolutions on Afghanistan.

The discussions highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Pakistan to strengthen constructive dialogue with the de facto government in Afghanistan, addressing key issues, particularly girls' education, counterterrorism, and humanitarian aid.
