The Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned the continued crimes of the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which was the burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, along with the ongoing perpetration of horrific crimes that have resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded individuals. It considered this crime as further evidence of the ongoing war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people.
The organization affirmed that the Israeli attacks on the healthcare sector, including the targeting, besieging, and storming of hospitals, as well as the arrest of medical staff, patients, and the wounded, constitute a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and relevant international conventions and UN resolutions.
The organization called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in enforcing an immediate and permanent cessation of this brutal Israeli military aggression and ensuring the respect and protection of medical facilities, healthcare workers, patients, and the wounded.
The organization also emphasized the need to provide adequate and unrestricted humanitarian aid, medical assistance, and healthcare across the Gaza Strip.
