The Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs meets with the Minister of Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity in Burkina Faso.

Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Social, and Cultural Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held a meeting with H.E. Nandi Some/Diallo, Minister of Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity of Burkina Faso, and Mrs. Kabré/Kaboré Bibignan Stella Din, Minister Delegate for Regional Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso, on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the OIC Donors Conference to Support Displaced Persons and Refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin Regions, held at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters.

The two sides reviewed Burkina Faso's efforts in the field of humanitarian work and discussed ways to enhance the support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its relevant institutions for the Sahel countries in this domain, particularly in supporting displaced persons and refugees.
